Configuration Analyst

Position Overview

The Configuration Analyst is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of system implementations, through interacting with clients and the product and configuration internal team and analyzing and troubleshooting software and system configuration problems.  

Core Responsibilities

  • Document, develop and resolve complex system problems and challenges
  • Perform proactive and reactive analyses to ensure system and data integrity
  • Configure, add and update accounts, formulas and properties
  • Configure financial statement validations, including edit checks, mappings and messages
  • Configure application settings, roles and permissions
  • Build and maintain various reports using Designer
  • Create report mockups
  • Configure reports, dashboards and widgets
  • Assist with new system implementations and migrations, including system and data migrations from competitors
  • Comprehend data structures and accounting nomenclature using manufacturer financial statements
  • Document client configuration changes for traceability and quality control
  • Promote continuous improvement


Education, Experience and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, accounting or business administration
  • 1-2 years’ experience in software development or configuration management
  • Knowledge of data driven and configurable solutions
  • Knowledge of Dealer Management Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning Systems
  • Knowledge of Agile process and principles
Key Skills and Accountabilities:
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate and resolve complex systems issues and ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal  
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fundamental understanding of database concepts and an understanding of SQL and RDBMS
