Junior QA Analyst

REPORTS TO: Manager, Quality Assurance

STATUS: Non-exempt

Position Overview

The Junior QA Analyst is responsible to ensure the quality of all products through the testing of new application features and the verification of new features to ensure compatibility with existing functionality. Creating and utilizing test cases, timing and completing testing, and comprehending all products in order to understand expected behaviors.

Core Responsibilities

Quality Assurance
  • Test new features of the application (PBI, CR)
  • Create test cases to assist and enable testing
  • Create bugs in response to malfunctions
  • Test bugs following resolution and completion
  • Complete regressions prior to releases
  • Complete item estimations and assist in future planning


Education, Experience and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business administration, or diploma in quality assurance
  • Experience in quality assurance or ISTQB certification an asset
  • Basic knowledge in QA processes, accounting principles and finance
Key Skills and Accountabilities:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Microsoft Visual
  • Written and verbal competency in French an asset
  • Develop and create work plans aligned with high-level, strategic goals
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all organizational levels
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software and technologies quickly
  • Follow instructions and work in a team environment
